Google Changing Privacy And Google Terms Of Service Starting March 1st

Although it is not 100% related, it appears that things are already in motion when it comes to the changes regarding privacy of the users and the new EU rules that should be starting today in court. And this time the changes will happen at Google in their privacy policies and Google Terms of Service.
It appears that although the last big policies change occurred back in 2010 there are still more than 70 documents that cover different products. This means that we have a very complicated approach. What they are really trying to do is offer the user a more intuitive experience when using Google products.
From those 70 documents, 10 will be kept hidden for legal purposes. That means users will be able to read and accept around 60 documents from now on. The main changes are happening because of the global regulators that are asking for shorter and simpler privacy policies. The changes should happen as of March 1st and the notifications will be received via email starting today.
But let’s explain a little what this actually means in practice. The biggest and most important changes happen for the users and their Google Accounts. They admit that if you sign on their products they could use the information you introduce to combine it with other products of their own. That means if you make a user for one Google product you will be able to access with it most of the software offered by the search giant.
The most obvious use of this could be seen in their recent launch of a personal search feature. With a simple search you can find more exact answers not only regarding web content but also personal information. For example when searching for a hotel in Barcelona, then Google+ takes action and posts a few photos of people who shared info related with Barcelona on the internet. Reading memos from Google Docs – this has never been easier especially with the option to read it right from Gmail.
And apparently that is not all. The search can even more be improved into a more intuitive code that knows better what you really want to search when typing words like Apple. In the ads department, you will not see, from this point on,В ads regarding ski trips if it’s June. Furthermore if you have a meeting, reminders will appear if the location is in the other part of the city and also the traffic is very heavy. With other words they want to simplify everything from this point on.
Another big change that will happen is the way those long eight pages of privacy notes are written. They will make them easier to read and of course shorter. In order to see what new products are covered by these new conditions visit this page.
But sometimes too many changes are not so good. These are the things that won’t change for the time being. The data liberation option remains up and running so there is still the possibility to take personal information to another place. Personal information will remain private and there is no option for the company to sell it or offer it to other people except major cases like lawsuits. When it comes to information received there is still the option to select what you are interested in and even certain ads can be removed. And last but not least is the privacy control that for example in the Google+ circle works very fine.
In conclusion they hope that this new and also simpler privacy policy will allow people to better understand and also enjoy Google products and services at their full potential. Regardless if you are an old user or a new one, be sure to first read these new policies before agreeing with them.
