2K Games has announced the release date for Borderlands 2 game, and it has given us a several details regarding pre-order bonuses, and what you going to do with them. According to the publisher, the Borderlands 2 release date is September 18th, 2012 in the United States on all major platforms including PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

The publisher also confirmed the international shipping date which will fall three days later after the US launch. This is hardly a surprise, but September 21st is not too far off, and gamers will have to keep in mind that they’ll get the chance to play the sequel of the original Borderlands which was a great game.

If consumers pre-order Borderlands 2, then they are going to get exclusive access to the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club which gives users the possibility to download in-game content like weapons. 2K Games confirmed that people who pre-order will be able to download the Gearbox Gun Pack, Vault Hunter’s Relic, and the Golden Key.

The Gearbox Gun Pack consists of several unique items, the Vault Hunter’s Relic will increase a gamer’s gear-hunting luck, while the Golden Key unlocks a very rare item found in the Golden Sanctuary Loot Chest.

Borderlands 2 comes packed with support for online co-op and split-screen co-op modes, and it will provide a new and unique experience to the gamers.  In order to celebrate the announcement of the game’s release date, 2K Games has also revealed a new trailer which can be viewed below. The trailer also contains in-game footage so make sure you watch it closely.
